What is a travelspec? A travelspec is a suggested travel route along the most beautiful hotspots in the country of your interest. The travelspecs are based on real experiences of real travelers. In fact you can post travelspecs yourself, an ideal way for travelers to share their experiences. The travelspecs are written short and comprehensively so that you get a good image of what a country has to offer and what kind of things you can see in a given period of time. What is a hotspot? A hotspot is place of interest in a particular country of which Travelspecs or a Travelspecs member thinks that it is very worth to visit. A hotspot could be a city, town, village, beach town, national park, an island, or a wonder of nature, like a waterfall or mountain. The country I a was looking for is inactive on the world map. Where can I find or share information? Travelspecs is building up its knowledge base. If a country is inactive on the world map this means that we do not possess enough information about that country yet. We are working very hard to gather this information and to activate the entire world map as soon as possible. I tried to post a hotspot/travelspec using the contribution form, but it doesn’t work? You need to make sure that you filled in all the obligatory fields before sending your contribution. When entering the anti-spam code you should only enter the black letters. I contributed a hotspot/travelspec, but it does not appear on the website. When will it be posted? Your hotspot/travelspec contribution is checked first by a Travelspecs administrator. After that it is posted online on Travelspecs.com. Travelspecs aims to post your contributions as soon as possible. Why can I only use 3000 characters when creating a travelspec? Travelspecs aims to keep the information displayed online as organized and insightful as possible. We believe that a good travelspec should not consist of more than 3000 characters, Keep it short and simple. Can you help me compose my trip? Travelspecs is intended to provide visitors with information and to give visitors the possibility to share their travel experiences. We do not offer trips ourselves. In some cases we may mention a tour operator for a specific trip. The idea is that you compose your own trip based on the information found on our website. If you need more information about a particular hotspot that has been activated you can simply post a question at the appropriate tab.
