Beijing is the grand capital of the People’s Republic of China. Although Beijing is rivaled by cities as Shanghai and Hong Kong we join those who think that Beijing is China’s most fenomenal city to visit. In fact, you may say that Beijing is one of the greatest cities in the entire world to visit.
The meaning of “big city” really gets another dimension here. Don’t even think of walking anywhere, you’ll be astonished by the size of the city. It will take about 10 minutes just to cross Tianenmen Square by foot.
But definitely take your time to visit this amazing city. There are a number of astonishing sights such as Tianenmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and The temple of heaven park. Besides, an exploration of one of Beijing’s Hutongs, or traditional neighborhoods, is a must see experience. Finally, a daytrip to the Great Wall of China is a must see experience!
Eating in Beijing is just out of this world regardless your budget and for those in search of entertainment Beijing has a surprisingly cool nightlife. Even if you’re not into clubbing you can indulge your senses by visiting a Chinese Opera (with subtitles) or Shaolin Kung Fu Show.
We have to admit that we were actually surprised by how impressing and fun Beijing is. Truly one of the greatest cities in the world. Spending a week here is easy!
