BYRON BAY
Byron Bay is a perfect place to surf and home to a number of sandy, lush beaches. The Pass, on the main beach is a beginners beach and the locals are friendly to cooks – beginning surfers -. They will give you tips as you struggle to stand up. Beaches for more experiences surfers are Tallow’s and Lennox Head. When the conditions are good there are the most beautiful beaches to surf: dolphins come out and greet you whilst you’re surfing. But when the conditions are bad these places are rather dangerous because of strong currents.
Byron Bay offers a lot besides surfing as well. Walk to the Lighthouse through the Cape Byron State Conservation Park. In wintertime the Lighthouse is a perfect place to spot whales and dolphins. Bike around the area and be blown away by the lovely nature.
