MADRID – Shopping
Shopaholics will absolutely love Madrid. You almost don’t need recommendations, since shopping streets are scattered throughout the city. So go crazy, but watch out because pickpockets are a huge problem in Madrid. Make sure you always watch your bag and wallet closely.
Good shopping areas are:
Calle de Fuencarral - All we need to say is: many many many good shops. Be sure to check out the Mercado de Fuencarral.
Chueca (Plaza de Chueca and Calle Hortaleza)- Here you find trendy, funky shops of new designers and original second-hand stuff.
Salamanca- This is where you head if you like designer clothes and good art shops.
Gran Vía – Here big brands such as Zara and H&M are located.
Plaza de Puerta del Sol / Gran Vía – In the streets between these two places you find many cheap shops and famous Spanish stores such as Corte Inglés and Fnac.
