Tarifa
Tarifa is a small town located in the soutmostern tip of the Spanish peninsula on the Costa de la Luz and is internationally renowned as wind surfing paradise. Wind and kite surfers from all over the world are drawn to the wide beaches of Tarifa for its excellent, windy conditions. That said one should note that because of the ever present and strong winds Tarifa is not necessarily the best place for sunbathing. Still, even if you’re not a surfer it is a nice town and it’s cool to check out the mellow surfing atmosphere.
In the evenings people gather in Tarifa’s many bars to share their surfing adventures.
Given its close location to Africa, there is a ferry going from Tarifa to Tanger in Morocco, which is only a short boat ride away.
