London – Nightlife
London nightlife could be enjoyed in many ways. Theatre, cinema, pubs and clubs; it’s all there. All could be combined in one night if you prepare yourself in the right way.
Start your night out already while walking around the centre of London at daytime with a stop at Leicester Square. Here you can find several cheap-looking ticketoffices. Cheap-looking because they are! At these places you can buy tickets for high-quality theatre shows for half of the price. Bargain a bit and look around for a show you really want to see. Choosing will be difficult! Also keep an eye on the kind of theatre where it is played, some are prettier from the inside than others, which really complements the atmosphere of a night out like this.
If theatre is not your thing, go to one of the big cinemas which the town houses. For example, the futuristic Apollo theatre near Piccadilly Circus. All films are of course in English.
After the show or movie, dive into one of the many many pubs you find on every corner. It doesn’t really mather which one you choose. If there are people, there is beer and it’s good. Keep an eye on the time though, since pubs and clubs have a relatively early closing time in this capital. Around 2 am most pubs close and the clubs close not much later, although it differs sometimes. Make sure to bring enough money since most clubs ask an admission and drinks are not cheap. Last tip: to be overdressed is not possible in London when going out at night. Be sure to dress your finest if you want to blend in with the real townsmen.
