SUCRE
The beautiful and charming colonial city of Sucre is a Unesco Cultural Heritage site and it will soon become clear why. Although many people think that La Paz is Bolivia’s capital, in fact it is Sucre which has the official honor of calling itself the main constitutional capital of Bolivia. Anyway, obviously the most important things for you to admire here are Sucre’s beautiful colonial heritage, the architecture, and Sucre’s vibrant nightlife. Since Sucre has a large student population so not surprisingly there is always something going on. A fun thing to do is to take a semi day tour to see dinosaur prints. You get to see some of the wild west landscapes surrounding Sucre and a lifted plateau with different types of dino prints in them, cool!
Something not to skip while in Sucre is a visit to admire one of the famous folkloric dance and music groups such as the ”Orígenes in Sucre.” Even if you’re not so much into folkloric music the spirit and warmth of the music will make you fall in love with Bolivia even more. If you’re boasting with energy and long to see more wonders of Bolivian nature, take the short trip to Samaipata to see the ruins of El Fuerte and to access the spectacular Amboró National Park.
