LUANG PRABANG
Luang Prabang (16.000 inhabitants) is a very charming or even romantic town on the confluence of the Mekong and Khan rivers. There are over 30 temples, a vibrant night market, fantastic French colonial architecture, and the former Royal Palace.
Although tourism has grown strongly in the last couple of years, Luang Prabang is a charming place and tradition can be felt all over. There is a great nr of sights to see here and there are a couple of splendid day trips to be organized as well. You could easily spend a day or three here.
